1 Introduction

1.1 Welcome

Thank you for your interest in ProSim737.

The ProSim-AR team have introduced the highest detail, designed from the ground up, to capture the essence of this aircraft. The team is passionate with the continuous development of ProSim737 and is confident to set new standards that will exceed expectations within flight simulation.

1.2 What is the ProSim737 Suite?

ProSim737 is a Professional Simulator Suite that brings accurate flight simulation into your home.

Only with ProSim737 you can enhance your simulation experience with: complete and detailed modeled aircraft systems, sophisticated and realistic flight model characteristics, images on the Main Instrument Panels Display Units, extensive Central Display Unit features and easy hardware connection. ProSim737 is Microsoft® Windows™ platform based and is fully compatible with Microsoft® Flight Simulator™ 10, Lockheed Martin Prepar3D®.

ProSim737 is developed by using modern technology resulting in a stable and flexible solution, allowing you to scale simulation exactly to your requirements.

NOTE: This software is targeted for home cockpit builders. It is not endorsed by any aircraft manufacturer and may not be used for real world operational training, unless specifically certified by an approved aviation authority.

1.3 Suite module overview

1.3.1 ProSim737 System

Manages the simulation of aircraft systems, acts as a central network hub for all ProSim737 Suite modules, interfaces with your hardware components, configures by graphical interfaces and features a webserver for the Instructor Operating Station (IOS).

1.3.2 ProSim737 MCP

Contains the auto flight systems and allows connection to the Mode Control Panel (MCP) in your cockpit or to display a graphical representation without hardware.

1.3.3 ProSim737 CDU

The Control Display Unit (CDU) controls the Flight Management System (FMS). This module provides possible connection of the CDU in your cockpit or to display a graphical representation without hardware.

1.3.4 ProSim737 Display

Generates all graphical elements such as Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Navigation Display (ND) on the Main Instrument Panels (MIP) Display Units (DU).

1.3.5 ProSim737 Audio

Provides genuine cockpit sounds independent from the environmental sound. Default sounds can be customised and new sound events can be added.

1.3.6 ProSim737 Panel

Creates a graphical representation of the different panels within the cockpit, can be used to check the state of switches / indicators and displays the panels, also without hardware.

1.3.7 ProSim737 IOS

The Instructor Operating Station gives the controllability of the simulator by use of a web interface.

1.3.8 ProSim737 Flight Model

Provides realistic aircraft behaviour and a visual model with customisable livery.

1.3.9 ProSim737 Hardware Connector

Allows the connection of a part of the cockpit hardware components to a secondary computer.

1.4 Requirements

1.4.1 Internet Connection Requirement

In order to initially activate and remain active, an internet connection is required for ProSim737 System to connect to the ProSim-AR servers.

License must be validated (happen automatically during startup of ProSim737 System when the primary computer is connected to the internet) at least once in 30 days. If that doesn't happen, ProSim737 System will not start until the computer is connected to the Internet. The amount of days remaining until validation is displayed in ProSim737->Help->About window

1.4.2 Software requirements

• Microsoft® Windows™ 7, Windows™ 8 or Windows™ 10 operating system
• Microsoft® .Net framework 4.6.2 Included in Windows™ 10, downloadable free from Microsoft® for preceding OS versions
• For FSX and P3Dv1,2,3 - Registered (paid) FSUIPC 4 by Peter Dowson
• For P3Dv4 - Registered (paid) FSUIPC 5 by Peter Dowson
• For all P3D versions - Microsoft Flight Simulator Simconnect RTM (installer located in P3D folder - \redist\Interface\FSX-RTM)
• For ProSim737 version 2.08 or lower only - For systems running on 2 or more networked computers SlimDx is required to be installed on all networked PC's. It is recommended to install both x86 and x64 bit versions. The software can be downloaded from https://slimdx.org/download.php

1.4.3 Back-end simulator platforms supported

• Microsoft® Flight Simulator™ version 10 (FSX). Only FSX with SP2 (XPack) and Steam Edition supported.
• Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® version 1.x, 2.x, 3.x. and 4.x

1.4.4 Minimum system requirements

• For the primary computer please refer to Lockheed Martin Prepar3D® system requirements
• ProSim737 System disk space requirement 500MB.
• For secondary computers no specific hardware requirements apply

1.5 Evaluation options

Evaluation of the ProSim737 Suite is important for your satisfaction prior to obtaining a user license. To obtain your free trial, two options are offered:

1. Free limited, extensive 30 minute periods
2. Free 30 day trial

To obtain either option, simply download the ProSim737 Suite and install the software as described in the next paragraph.

The ProSim737 Suite is safe to use and will not affect any currently installed software.

By selecting the 30 minute evaluation option on startup of ProSim737 System, this provides instant access without entering a license key. Following this 30 minute period, for further evaluation select again the 30 minute evaluation option.

After completion of your 30 minute evaluation or 30 day trial, obtaining a ProSim737 user license will not affect configurations made during this period.

1.6 Support

For technical information or assistance, multiple options are available.

• ProSim-AR Software User Manuals -> In the first instance please refer to the user manuals. These contain technical descriptions of ProSim737 work and what is the setup process.
• ProSim-AR User Forum -> The ProSim-AR Forum is a facility available 24 hours a day and serves as a platform for users to interact, share knowledge, offer support and information.
• Email Support -> As a final option you have the opportunity to send us your request by email to support@prosim-ar.com. A support ticket will be automatically created.

When sending an email make sure to provide the following information:

Explanation of the issue. What was expected to happen and what did actually happen. Use screenshots or videos to clarify. When did the issue first occur, after a software / hardware update, or during flight.

Always attach the log.txt, crashlog.txt and config.xml files from the ProSim737 System directory.

1.7 Terms and Conditions

All our offers and agreements are subject to the applicable Terms and Conditions for the ProSim Software for either commercial or non-commercial use. These have been filed with the Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands under number 54069645.
