1 General information

FDS provide specific hardware and generic hardware with both USB and LAN interface.

All FDS hardware is supported natively in the ProSim737 Suite.

For the specific hardware only the driver needs to be selected in ProSim737 System driver tab, ProSim737 System > Config > Configuration > Drivers.

Make sure there is no additional FDS/TekWorx driver or software running.

FDS hardware could be connected/split to secondary computer(s) and then linked to primary computer using ProSim737 Hardware Connector

2 Supported specific hardware

2.1 GENERAL CONFIGURATION

  1. Open ProSim737 System->Config->Configuration->Drivers and enable the option "FDS hardware support"
  2. Restart ProSim737

2.2 MCP/EFIS

  1. See General configuration
  2. In ProSim737 System->Config->Configuration->Drivers, click on "Advanced" button next to the field "FDS hardware support"
  3. In the new window, enable the option "Enable support for FDS G3 MCP/EFIS"
  4. In ProSim737MCP->Config->Main in the section "For FDS MCP/EFIS" enable the option "Support for FDS G3 based MCP/EFIS"
  5. Restart ProSim737 MCP

2.3 CDU

  1. See General Configuration
  2. In ProSim737 CDU->Configuration->Drivers in the field "For Tekworx/FDS CDU's" select "Enabled" and select the correct CDU from the "CDU serial" menu if multiple CDUs are connected.
  3. Confirm and restart ProSim737 CDU

2.4 COMM/NAV/ADF/XPNDR modules (both USB and LAN version)

  1. See General Configuration
  2. In ProSim737 System->Config->Configuration->Drivers, click on "Advanced" button next to the field "FDS hardware support"
  3. In the new window, select "Radios" tab
  4. When this configuration page is open, the radios will show an identification number, when using multiple radio modules assign the numbers to the specific radio panel in the configuration screen.
  5. Confirm and restart ProSim737 System

2.5 B737-ELEC-CAB

  • See General Configuration, no other configuration necessary.

3 Supported generic hardware

3.1 FDS-SYSx INTERFACE BOARD

  1. See General Configuration
  2. These are generic interface boards and all the connected inputs/outputs need to be manually assigned in ProSim737 System->Config->Configuration->Combined Config

3.2 FDS-FC1

3.3 Overhead panels

FDS overhead panels are based on generic interface boards, so all the switches and indicators need to be assigned in ProSim737 System.

3.4 MIP

FDS MIP is based on generic interface boards, so all the switches and indicators need to be assigned in ProSim737 System.
