1 ProSimA320 Flight Model

1.1 Introduction

The ProSimA320 Flight Model is unique and specifically developed for use with ProSimA320. Based on true data, this model performs the most realistic behaviour of aircraft dynamics, with a visual outlook of optional pre designed liveries and the ability to personally customize.

The ProSimA320 Flight Model is compatible with the following back end simulators:

  • Microsoft Flight Simulator X
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator FS-SE
  • Lockheed Martin Prepar3D
    • Version 1.xx
    • Version 2.xx
    • Version 3.xx
    • Version 4.xx

It is recommended to create a default flight, this default flight should be saved as ‘default flight’. Before saving the default flight make sure to select an appropriate weight, fuel and trim value. Always use the virtual cockpit and deselect the cockpit view. On default in the simulation platform settings area the G-effect is selected, always deselect this option to have a realistic flight model view.

Please refer to the ProSimA320 Flight Model user manual for more details on the installation and use of the flight model.

1.2 Installation

Download the flight model as described here.

Our advanced flight & visual model comes with its own installer. The installer either finds FSX, FSX-SE or Prepar3D® version installed on the user’s computer. The installer will also search for existing installation of FSXSE, distributed by Dovetail Games since 2014. (If you wish to install it for FSXSE but you also have FSX installed, you must do it manually, by pointing the installer to the ROOT folder of the simulator).

The same stands for Prepar3D® version 1.4 or earlier. The model works on Prepar3D® 1.x but you should manually point the installer to the root folder of the simulator.

If one of the directly supported simulators are installed, the installer will find their paths in the registry.

Simply double click on setup.exe of the package you received and follow the instructions on the screen. By default, the installer places the ProSimA320 Flight Model plane into the ‘Simobjects’ folder of your Flight Simulator™ X or Prepar3D® installation. No further action is required by the user, apart from selecting our airplane in the simulator, later on. We highly recommend saving a startup flight with the ProSimA320 Flight Model, so your simulator will always start with your new plane.
